Fleeting consciousness

In a swirl of colors, consciousness flickers to life — a momentary self-awareness that emerges from formless thought and feeling. It is a fleeting moment, a delicate balance between clarity and chaos. For a brief, shimmering moment, the self is realized, only to dissolve back into an endless swirl, symbolizing the elusive, transient nature of awareness. It reminds us that consciousness is as much a mystery as it is a miracle.

I started out with this AI base image that I generated in Midjourney:

I then took that into Photoshop, and made it a smart object and applied filters to it:

This in turn gave me the image I wanted to work with:

My intention was to make the video 4K, so I changed my Photoshop canvas size to 4K, resized the image, and then used generative fill to add details to left and right of the image:

From here I took the image into After Effects, and made the swirls happen based on the excellent tutorial by “Dope Motion” for the tutorial on how to do the swirling paint effect (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mpbn-Zx2aWs). I then added the eye blinks based on the tutorial by “Noeme”:  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEOJyoWRdBA&t=346s).

Finally I edited everything in Premiere and added the sound track from the one I got at Envato Elements.
